Castleford Gates (thanks Laura)

Built by the NER this box is still in situ today allbeit boarded up and controlled the level crossing on the Wakefield to Castleford road
More History to follow when i've done some research..
GREETLAND

Built to air raid standards for World war II the box was mothballed in @1987 and reopened in the late 90's early 00's it has now passed into History with the resignalling scheme,the area is now under control of Healey Mills
Oakenshaw

Now sadly demolished this former midland railway box controlled the midland line originally from oakenshaw south jcn later Royston,it also controlled the goole lines and a short section of the Hare park Branch from Calder bridge area to just short of Pontefract Tanshelf
It has now come under the control of Wakefield Signalling centre
Wakefield (old) Box

Taken during demolition kirkgate old box (the shed) was opened in 1982,it controlled all lines thro' kirkgate station bordering with Horbury jcn,oakenshaw,leeds/york and altofts
It has now been superceeded by Wakefield signalling centre
Hebden Bridge

This fine example of a box was built by the L&Y and is situated at the end of the manchester bound platform at Hebden Bridge station,it is still in use today

Wakefield signalling centre

The new box ("da" bungalow) opened December 2007,it works a mixture of SSI and RRI for the time being after the resignalling scheme at oakenshaw
Part 2 of the resignalling scheme is set to see SSI throughout and may incorparate Horbury Jnc
